Trail Description
About this trail
The Rusty Bucket is relatively flat singletrack trail that has lots of tight and
twisty sections that weave in and out of a new growth pine thicket. The trail
gets its name from the hundreds of old paint buckets that were found when
building the trail.

Review: Recent changes have removed this from a beginner trail. The berms and dirt mounds added to the tight, twisting pine tree section is too tough for new riders. Turtleback is now a better option for beginners, though it may be a little long.

It is a decent warm up for riders enroute to Mason's Bridge or the downhill course.

Review: I know it's a beginner trail, but I couldn't get past the really bad new section with the "berms" and the humps in that tight tree section. It just seems like a waste of trail building effort and it's not a fun section at all, imho. With that said, the new reroutes definitely need some riders to settle the trail in a bit. It's still a bit soft and lumpy.

Review: This is a good beginner trail. It does have some tight turns, but other than that, it's a fun ride for someone who is new to the sport.

Review: First trail I've ever ridden, so it was a true beginner course for me. I'm a tall guy so the tight turns and squeezes were a little tricky the first time, but still had a blast. It's an easy trail.

Review: Nice beginners trail. a little tight in some of the turns, but a nice challenge without getting to hard.

Review: Nice little beginners trail, but there were some tight turns where you really had to slow down or get too intimate with a Georgia pine. No real climbs and very few obstacles is great for someone's first or second ride to get comfortable, but not much value after that. You have to ride this trail to enter/exit Mason Bridge.

Review: Good trail to ride. It does not have the punchy climbs that some of the other trails have in the area. More of a flowing trail, you can get into a gear and put in some miles. I will be back out to this trail!
