Trail Description
About this trail
This is a relatively easy loop in the foothills of the Cohutta Mountains that is
comprised of about 75% forest service road climbing and about 25% hyper-
fast and really flowy ORV doubletrack descending.

At the top of the forest road climbing be sure to hang a hard right over the
berm to find the descent.

While this ride may not be the greatest trail I've ever done, it was nice to
ride something different for a change... and the descent down to the creek
crossing really was a ton of fun!

Review: The trail starts just over Mill Creek at the Rocky Flats parking lot. The first half of the trail is basically a gradual uphill forest road climb through the woods. Nothing too hard, but nothing very fun either. Luckily, this eventually ends and you can cut to the right over a large berm to catch the doubletrack downhill back to the creek. Fast and flowy downhill is your reward for the boring climb up. After you cross the creek, the trail follows it upstream for about a 1/4 mile and then joins up with Mill Creek Rd (FS630) until you get back to the parking lot. Though the trail is basically uphill then downhill, the climb is very gradual and would be doable by most beginners. Only 900ft of elevation difference from top to bottom. While the ride isn't one of the best in the area, it's definitely worth giving a try. Especially if you are already familiar with the other XC rides in the area and looking for something new.

Review: 3 stars because it was ok, but not that great. Great downhill, but it was pretty short.
