***   Add a review
#165 of 294 mountain bike trails in Pennsylvania
#7,174 in the world

A combination of 4X4 trails, logger roads, single track, creek riding, and a short stop and hike. Take the Cliff trail until it intersects with the Roaring Run trail on the right. The Roaring Run trail is a combination of 4x4 and single track, it will drop into the valley, and merge with the creek. Follow the creek / Roaring Run trail until the intersection with the Jackson Trail, then turn right (NW). You will need to hike with the bike up the Jackson Trail. Ride the Jackson trail after hiking the short steep portion of the trail. At the intersection with the Ball Hill trail turn right. This trail is now a logger road. The logger road will take you back to the trail head and picnic area.

I stopped here on my back from Pittsburgh for a quick loop. I parked as soon as you enter the park and initially rode to the fire tower and then the outlook, which was a nice view and well worth it. From there I descended going off and on the trail and fire/ logging roads. I feel like this would be a good place to bring the fat bike after a storm.
