Trail Description
About this trail
From what I've heard, this trail was designed by the guys who did the '96 Olympic trail near Atlanta. The trails are scattered all over the place and it would have been a lot more fun if someone who knew the trails was leading. The trail is mostly tight, twisty singletrack through forested hills. The scenery is beautiful (even though I went in the middle of February). There are some sweet rocky sections. I think this trail has the potential of being very fast. However, when I experienced it, it was a bit tacky. You definetly need to hit up this trail if you're in Columbia!

Review: Fun trail, consists of switchbacks through a larger gravel trail. Hard to follow at times.

Review: Road this 9/22/19, excellent experience, well marked, good design, limited technical, some climbs but not bad, enough downhill to get some speed. Trail was well groomed. I'm not from columbia but I'd bring my bike back for another run. Did see one copperhead, but he was minding his own business. I'd recommend this trail to anyone interested in riding mtb.

Review: Great trails to start or to have a lot of fun and as an experienced rider. Nice wooded areas and difficult but fun rocky sections. Well marked except a few intersections, but you wouldn't be lost for long cause they loop together a lot.

Review: Trail is decent but very poorly marked. I've ridden it multiple times and still seem to get turned around or end up on a connector trail. I'm not sure how Singletracks lists 6 miles of trail. I would place it more like 2-3 miles. Trail is mostly flat and can be ridden fast. Minimal technical sections and this trail can be ridden by beginners without a problem.

Review: Fun place to ride that's easy to get to for most Columbia natives. There are tons of really tight switch-back turns, and some pretty good climbs as well.

I do wish that the trail was a little wider as it gets pretty tight when everything is green and that makes some pretty big turns really hard to see coming. Also wish there were a couple jumps.

Review: Great trail network with good variety. Agree with other reviewers that the trails are poorly marked, but I had fun exploring.

Review: Challenging and confusing. very hard to find and poorly marked. I got lost after two hours and found a road out. Bushes not cleared most of the way.

Review: Great trail and a go to for Columbia. Very rocky in some sections, and if its wet at all, which seems to be often, its a pain. Still a must ride in mid-missouri

Review: This is one of the best trails designed for mountain biking around. Its proximity to town is the best hook. This is a nice short ride that I visit whenever weather permits a mid day ride. Make sure to visit the quarry with the rock circle, its hard to miss.

Review: Most technical trail around. Anybody in good shape will have a blast. Not for the beginner really. I think I fit as a novice and it was as much rocky, rooty, hair pin turn action as I wanted. A total Blast!! Right next to the interstate too.
