Trail Description
About this trail
This system of trails has a unique history as it used to be Meadowdale International racetrack decades ago. The old racetrack has been restored to a sweet paved bike track but there is quite a bit of off road trails in and around the track. The terrain is pretty varied for Illinois which makes this worth riding. There are some steep descents straight down the fall line sometimes including jumps, there are some twisty trails through the woods and there are some longer stretches through meadows.

Trail Q&A
Rider Questions

Q: How many miles is the trail? -Guest

A: You can get in 14 miles with a good circuit and the system and doing some backwards. This makes it so you don't feel like you're ridding the same trails over and over

Q: I forgot my phone at home today. Is there a way to add a check-in for Raceway Woods Carpentersville IL? THANK YOU for check-in!!! It actually also comes in handy for warranty purposes to validate my claims of how few trail hours I've actually put on a troublesome piece of gear. -NoLoTeks

Review: Nice single tracks! Very tight and twisting. Could use some high berms to help with flow, but otherwise very good trail design with nice rhythm.

Review: Depending on which parking lot you enter from, you can have a warm-up from the Huntley lot, or start at the 31 lot and start climbing to get your heart going! Either way is good... After you ride Little Monza, Silo Hill, Corkscrew, head across the creek/bridge and ride Meadowdale, from there onto Serpentine, then onto Sacarabs... Once you tired from riding the singletrack, head out and ride the race track which is 3.5 mile loop of fun down hills and good uphills to work the cardio!

Review: This is a great system with both flowy and technical sections that can be a lot of fun to ride. There's some fairly difficult features but most of them have bypasses which makes this a great place to progress. The area north of the creek (Little Monza, Corkscrew, and Silo Hill) is my favorite, but be careful the first time that you ride; a lot of the berms have super narrow exits so you can't go quite as fast as you feel that you should. The Meadowdale loop can be a little frustrating because of short climbs leading into short descents which lead back into short climbs which lead back into short descents... but there's still some enjoyable sections.

Review: Really fun park to ride. Wasn't quite sure where to park, but we found the gravel lot right off of 31. The park has some nice hills. Not a lot of trails in total, if I had to guess maybe 6 or 7 miles if you hit every trail, but they are a lot of fun. We were here the day after it rained and didnt have an issue, the trails were plenty dry to ride. The trails are so hilly they dont seem to have a problem with drainage.

Review: Awesome trails in the chicago burbs. Very tight and twisty to make it fun. Some berms, jumps, bridges to make it interesting. Trail crew has been hard at work. All it needs is more mileage to be 5 stars.

Review: Went for my first true single track exp today at raceway and it was great. Plenty of trail and some steep incline and decline mixed with lots of trees and rocks made it entertaining. Was slick and ate $hit a couple times but oh well. Deer also scared the poop out of me. Not many people made it more of a solitary experience, which was great. Showed some flaws in my from scratch mtb. Like no front brake. Reason why i crashed 3 times. Was fun though, definitely good for exp and novice riders. A tad overgrown due to it being late summer
