Mountain Biking Prairie/Miner Loop

*****   Add a review
#124 of 317 mountain bike trails in Idaho
#7,190 in the world

Ride the Prairie trail to a fork (end of Miner's trail) and stay right. Climb up a tough trail for a while to Prairie Lake. Take a left on Miner Lake. Left where the trail ends (right is the actual lake), down to where it meets Prairie again, right, back to the car.

I'd give the trail (mostly the DH) a 4, but the views bump it to a 5. The climb is pretty brutal - long, tough, sandy, roots. It beats you up, gotta be ready for that. The views at Prairie Lake are incredible. The trail traverses over to Miner Lake, which is equally epic. The downhill is no joke! It's technical, loose, steep, rocky (babyhead rocky) and fast. Stay on your toes for this one. Overall the trail isn't for the faint of heart, but if you're up for the adventure, it's awesome.
