***   Add a review
#268 of 1,005 mountain bike trails in California
#3,462 in the world

The is a multi-use bi-directional trail that has been listed because it enable you to create complete loops with the Tahoe Rim Trail by riding up Cold Creek trail and Saxons Creek trail (Mr. Toads). It is a nearly butter smooth singletrack that is fast and fun if you're looking for a warm up ride while in the Tahoe area.

Ride this trail and you won't need to shuttle your bike if you're staying in South Lake Tahoe.

Getting there
You can access the Powerline trail from multiple points in South Lake Tahoe as it parallels the Pioneer Trail Road. From US HWY 50 traveling East, turn right on Ski Run and proceed up the road and turn right again near the top just before the road dead ends. Proceed down this road for 1/4 mile and you will come to another dead end and a barricade. The trail can be accessed by riding around the barricade.
