This description will start at the trailhead located at the southern tip of Lower Pine
(05606) and finish at the trailhead at Lone Pine (05628). From where Lower Pine,
Gear Grinder and an unmarked trail come together, head south for a little over 0.25
miles where you will come to a fork in the trail (Waypoint 05607A). Follow the trail
sign to the right. The path to the left is not on the map. Continue another 1.25 miles
to where Bear Skat (05027) intersects from left to right (Waypoint 05607B). Take a
slight right to continue to the marked Pinyon trail. Ride another 0.8 miles to the end
of the trail and the T-intersection with Lone Pine (05628).

    For the most part, this is a dirt track with natural berms and a few rocky technical spots. If you are traveling from Bear Scat towards Lone Pine, there is about a 0.25 mile uphill stretch that will test your cardio and get your heart rate pumping.
