The Philosophenweg (Philosopher's way or walk) is a great way to see downtown
Heidelberg from above, when you reach the top of the hill there are a few places to
sit and enjoy the view, have a picnic, etc. The ground is mostly paved/gravel. Once
you make it far enough east, the ground turns to gravel and dirt, this is where a
large network of trails begin.

Start at the Theodor-Heuss Bruke (Theodor- Heuss bridge) travel north across the
bridge through the first stoplight, to the second block on that side of the river.
Take a right down the one way street 'Ladenburger Strasse' (landenburger street)
continue down this street to the hill, follow the hill all the way up, the
philosophenweg starts here.
