I rode this trail yesterday for the second time and it blew my expectations out of the water! The first time I rode it was at the butt end of last season and everything was mucky; this time the tread was hero dirt. Although it's tough, the big climb with really build your ability to ride technical switchbacks and will deliver you to the top of the mountain in a timely fashion. From there its ripping all the way down! Big root drops, a ton of rocks, and even a couple jumps make this one of the best places to get a taste of Wisconsin Gnar. It's so rough that I actually broke the axle of my pedal riding the main descent! Surprisingly, this trail is also one of the best for getting up close to deer; in fact, while I was riding, a nearby deer didn't even retreat into the woods. It just stood there staring at me.
