Mountain Biking Nanticoke/wanamie Penobscot Ridge Mtb Trail
#122 of 294 mountain bike trails in Pennsylvania
This area has been tailored for Mountain Biking and offers a variety of trails that will take you all over the Wanamie,Newport, Glen Lyon Mocanaqua Area. Some hills to challenge you, some log hopping, hammer down the old abandoned railroad bed, see some old coal mining buildings, etc.
Earth Conservancy has donated the land just for MTB riding, these trails are only minutes away from Wilkes-Barre. Not many people know about this so If your in the area check it out. At the Parking lot you will look to your 11pm and see a 1125 foot steep climb...it's a tough climb even on an ATV. You can see all of Nanticoke from atop.
You can make this ride as long as you want, trails are pretty much endless once you know your way around.
