Well laid out switchbacks to make it to the top, back down trails were similar. At first glance there doesn't seem to be a wide assortment but looking between the ski runs showed hidden trails , while combining the many service doubletrack that run throughout the area and some winding snow shoe trails it's a good place . Some fallen signs and directional arrows arrows and minimal trail names and no Trailforks to follow made it a pleasant change to just use instinct and the sun to search out the area

Easily one of the greatest surprises for me on the Ontario MTB scene... Moubtainview is a treasure worth riding at least once. Personally I've committed to making it a weekly habit... it's just that good. Lots of amazing flow, a number of lung-busting climbs for the crowd that digs a little suffering, and technical challenges to test the savviest of pilots. Part of me didn't want to review Mountainview... keep it all to myself. But my better angels prevail... my mother taught me the virtue of sharing... and so I'm here to tell you that if you, a self-respecting MTB'er, haven't ridden Mountainview yet, you need to fix that ASAP. The people who run it are phenomenal and the track is a genuine joy to ride. Check it out!!

I've only ridden the trails as part of the O Cup XC series, i think you have to be a member of the Mountainview Ski and MTB club to ride them on non-event days.

Fun mix of flat out twisting sections between the trees at the bottom of the ski hill followed by tight switch back climbing sections through trees up the side of the slope. Another brief flat section at the top leads you into decent, which is equal parts fast and furious with tight techy turns. Each section of the trails also has large boulders to negotiate, which makes things more interesting!
