Trail Description
About this trail
All double track. The terrain varies between sand, soft grass, soft pack, mud, and hard pack. This is not a technically challenging trail, but a good way to get some miles in. This is a hiking/hunting/bike/running trail. Expect to see a lot of people, cows, and wildlife.

Review: Red and Yellow trails lead to old growth canopy. some singletrack and definitely not for the inexperienced. lots of roots and trails are not clearly marked. red trail is challenging if you ride it fast. gets swamped out in rainy season

Review: I expected a fast ride down the double track trails (yellow, red, and white blazes). The first quarter mile on the yellow blaze used to be a grassy double trail with hard-ish pack on the sides. Now it's all soft sand. I guess it's a good workout. The last mile of the yellow blaze is a mess. Branhes are all over the place and the terrain is soft. Again, good for a hard workout but pulling limbs and branches out of your spokes is no fun. The red blaze was much better. Not hard pack, but you could maintain a good pace. The white blaze is in better condition. A decent pack with a few softer grassy areas. Both north (white blaze) and south (yellow/red blazes) have their rewards. At the end of each trail, you end up at the St. Johns River. An amazing view of natural Florida. Also expect to see a lot of wildlife. Deer, gators, birds of prey, large and small birds, and a lot of cows (be on the lookout for patties).
