Mountain Biking Mine Mountain

*****   Add a review
#90 of 543 mountain bike trails in North Carolina
#1,680 in the world

From Fawn Lake Access area take Fawn Lake Rd. ~0.1 miles, then take a left onto Mine Mountain trail. The climbing will come quickly once on the trail but it will be short-lived & soon you'll be bombing down a sweet, little downhill to the bottom of Mine Mtn. From there you can link up with the plethora of trails Dupont has to offer.

Very smooth and fun Singletrack. Had a lot of fun. Beautiful Fall views. Either direction is fun, but I preferred the south-to-north direction as the downhill is longer. If you have time, ride both ways!

I loved how well this trail flowed. I didn't expect to be even close to that fun when I started, descriptions of the trail evading me in my research. But what I was met with was beautiful and smooth trail dancing its way Mine Mountain far above a nearby lake.

Fun little trail to start your day or finish it off while riding from the Fawn Lake area of Dupont. Sweet, buttery singletrack!
