Trail Description
About this trail
The Pilgrim trails (across the road around Dragon loop) are great for beginners and challenging enough to encourage quick skill development. They\'re fun and fast trails for an easy ride for more advanced riders. Dragon Loop is very challenging - lots of funky little \"stunts\" here.

Time Trial is a favorite of beginners and advanced riders alike. It is a technical trail perfect for developing skills. Outer Limits (aka Outer Loop -easier) and Twilight Zone (aka Inner Loop - more advanced) are the longest loops that offer lots of downhill. There are some jumps on Outer Loop (go clockwise to hit these right). Of course, of course, what goes down, must climb back up. I\'ve been dooped into climbing these repeatedly because the downhill is so much fun. Go clockwise on both loops to maximize downhill fun and shorten the ride up the hill.

Hairy Toad and Barking Frog are the rocky, curvy, rooty trails. These are very technical. The bridges on these trails are narrow planks - beginners should be prepared to walk if they brave these trails. They are great fun is you\'re looking for a technical ride.

The trails are very well maintained and constantly evolving. These trails offer a lot of variety for all skill levels and is a great place to develop you bike handling skills. There are even some freeriding opportunities sprinkled in.

Trail Q&A
Rider Questions

Q: Anybody know what the state of the trails is after the flood earlier this year? -spoonless

A: I just started riding here in May. From what I can see Mason's Bridge looks like it has suffered some erosion over time and also a few low lying areas. I just rode there Saturday and it looked like they have done some work to in a few spots adding stones and a brideways over low lying areas. It doesn't get as much TLC as Blanketts Creek but most of the trail system is in real good shape IMO.

Review: Fantastic set of trails that offer something for everyone! If you don't like what you're riding, it won't last too long and you can try another trail. It is nearly impossible to stick to the trail map and pick out what you want to ride. Even the maps at intersections are a bit difficult to decipher what is where. The Tolkien trails were beginner/kid-friendly with the exception of Dragon which had technical riding. The Nara loops were flowy, as were the Competition trails (Outer, Inner, Twilight). If you see a sign for Just Mite, or Surewood - those were my favorite, seemingly never-ending downhill flowing ones to ride. Outer Limits had a great downhill portion too. We found ourselves circling around the Outer, Inner & Twilight trails & had a difficult time getting back to the trailhead (even looking at maps) until we decided we would just ride the ski trails. I'm always so focused on singletrack, that I try to avoid the wide boring stuff, but here it is necessary if you are specifically trying to get to a certain trail or location. The Upper Trails were the most technical with Time Trial & Superior being easier than Hairy Toad. Hairy Toad was one that made me feel exhilarated each time I rode a tough spot clean. I would love to come back to these trails again - perfect fun!

Review: The trails can be a lot of fun if you know where to ride. The maps are terrible and it's impossible to say "I want to ride this trail" unless you already know where it is. The map isn't labeled very well, and there's so many intersections that aren't labeled it's difficult to know you've gone the right way.

Review: Awesome trails for all levels. Twilight Zone and Outer Limits are more sedate and there are nice bermed trails from the Nordic Center for more fun.

Review: Trails are built very well and there's a wide variety of routes for every rider and skill level.
Network was confusing a bit in places since trails intersect each other.
I'll ride it again when next time in the area.

Review: Its alota fun here. Steep uphills and downhills with some bridges and other features to test yourself on. The sand gets a little annoying when youre trying to keep momentum.

Review: Just rode here and had a blast! Once I realized that it was pretty much impossible to get lost I rode almost every trail. There are a couple main trails and then a bunch of loops that bring you back to the main trail. Trails for literally any skill level and age, great trails to introduce kids to the sport without scaring them. Dragon trail loop was pretty cool, checked it out, rode some of it bypassed much in awe. Reall, would love to see some bikes running some of those ramps! Fun fun ! Goooooo

Review: Rode these trails early this spring. Wow! As kind of a new guy to the single track riding these trails were great. Lots of technical runs. Rocks, roots, logs, bridges all great. Theres also plenty of fast riding too. Lots of trails! It sure the total mileage but a person could defiantly ride a weekend and not cover the same trail. 2 thumbs up
