Fantastic set of trails that offer something for everyone! If you don't like what you're riding, it won't last too long and you can try another trail. It is nearly impossible to stick to the trail map and pick out what you want to ride. Even the maps at intersections are a bit difficult to decipher what is where. The Tolkien trails were beginner/kid-friendly with the exception of Dragon which had technical riding. The Nara loops were flowy, as were the Competition trails (Outer, Inner, Twilight). If you see a sign for Just Mite, or Surewood - those were my favorite, seemingly never-ending downhill flowing ones to ride. Outer Limits had a great downhill portion too. We found ourselves circling around the Outer, Inner & Twilight trails & had a difficult time getting back to the trailhead (even looking at maps) until we decided we would just ride the ski trails. I'm always so focused on singletrack, that I try to avoid the wide boring stuff, but here it is necessary if you are specifically trying to get to a certain trail or location. The Upper Trails were the most technical with Time Trial & Superior being easier than Hairy Toad. Hairy Toad was one that made me feel exhilarated each time I rode a tough spot clean. I would love to come back to these trails again - perfect fun!
