About this trail
The Luke's Trailhead is on the west side of the parking lot. Lukes Trail is the main starting point, but there are over 10 individually named trail segments in this network. Some are more user friendly than others. Trails range from buff cruising to full-on gnar. There are rock stunts adjacent to almost all trail segments. There are no truly extended climbs, but there is plenty of climbing overall. A map and a local are helpful.

Review: Great for high desert type riding. The conditions were extremely dry, as would be expected this time of year. Great maze of trails up on the plateau, and very fun to explore.

Review: Approaching the trailhead inspired little confidence. The trail looked like little more than a game trail heading into the sagebrush and on to miles more of expansive scrub. Once riding I found the experience to be very different. The builders have made the somewhat flat sagebrush sections to be challenging with fast turns and more variation in elevation than I thought was possible. The trail through the Junipers had me effectively lost and turned around, but enjoying it nonetheless. Certain sections had somewhat challenging rock features, some pallet features, and other novelties to mix up the experience. I was overall very happy that I took the time to ride the trail and enjoyed it much more than I thought that I would.

Review: There's about 24 miles of singletrack in the Wood Hill Trails (Luke's Trails), mostly intermediate but about 6 miles will extend advanced and expert riders. They meander around the juniper trees on mesas above the town of Price. They are not flat but the altitude change on all the trails is less than 300 feet. They are not technically rich (the photos give the wrong impression!) but they are always interesting with curves, varied terrain, and views overlooking the rims of the mesas.

Review: Extensive single track. Can spend a lot of time here without crossing your own tracks. Worth getting here and exploring!

Review: This is an outstanding trail network with plenty of variety for all types of riders. This one is worth making the journey/detour to Price. Be sure to stop at Bikewerks and talk to Fuzzy for great trail advice.
