Trail Description
About this trail
This is a short but fun trail jammed into a small piece of land between the airport runway, the National Guard armory, and the fairgrounds. Reminds me of the old days when kids would build trails wherever there was a spare acre or two, except these seem a touch more official with signs and everything! Some of the tightest, twistiest singletrack you'll find anywhere, just wish it was longer... One surprisingly steep drop along the trail - I won't spoil the surprise :)

Q: Is it hilly? -Jeff Barber

A: Not really. There are some very short, steep, ups and downs but I wouldn't classify them as hills. More like bumps. That said, it's not easy. But you also won't be climbing continuously for minutes at a time.

Review: Lots of roots and poorly maintained. trail is not well marked and short, lots of rubble and trash from construction or the airport. Don't waste your time here,

Review: Rode for the first time 09/17/2017. Lots of post hurricane Irma tree damage. I'm sure the group that maintains it will have it cleared soon. I'll be back.

Review: Definitely the most unique trail I've been to in Georgia. Tight and technical as promised! There is even an awesome bamboo forest and creek to reward you for riding through all the roots. You feel like you are moving so slowly the whole trail; I averaged only 5.2 miles per hour and most trails I average 8-9 mph. I recommend riding a full-sus and installing your old skinny bars. My biggest problem with the trail is that I was constantly getting hit by branches and spider webs, but I did ride after work on a weekday, so it may be better on a weekend. There wasn't enough trail markings, so I had to guess which trails to take when they split. I'd definitely recommend riding this trail at least once to break up the monotony of all the smooth, dumbed down IMBA style trails.

Review: Very technical. Not flowy and it's the same thing for the whole ride. Somebody has built a teeter-totter recently. I would like to have some directions. It's got colored tape marking the trail but no arrows. I've been twice and ridden it two different ways.

Review: From a technical standpoint theres nothing wrong with this trail. Its a nice bit of technical singletrack. Some parts of it are more technical than others. I gave it 4 stars but its perhaps 3 to 4. The main problem with it is that its just 6 miles of the same thing, the same singletrack covered in roots and rocks, not flowing, smooth singletrack but punishing technical stuff. A little is good, but this much (and nothing else) isnt so much fun.

Review: An adventurous ride. Great natural obstacles and terrain with lots of twists, turns, ups, and downs. Much tougher than I expected. Thanks to the designer and maintenance, this trail feels like a well kept secret for riders ready for a short but surprising workout.

Review: Great trail! Tight, twisty, technical, doesn't allow much speed for attacking climbs, and a few serious drop-offs. Lots of roots and ruts... lots of fun with what they had. Done on 29er, don't expect fast and flowing, but fun and technical.

Review: Had a good ride. Trails are pretty tight at times, definitely glad i have a 26 . Tons of roots will definitely kill your tail bone so get ready. Overall good ride.
