Trail Description
About this trail
The west side part of this trail system is pure fun while the east side is more tame. While there is no denivellation overall to speak to try the outback 4 mile trail and you will see what I mean. Unfortunatly very few indication but a good GPS map on the net. Ther is also a small part of the trail - at the beginning - suitable for technical downhill.

Review: Fun trail system if you love mosquitoes. Stop and you will be eaten alive, if you are good enough to keep rolling the whole time it's a good bit of technical trails. Not a lot of ascent or descent, but overall it's great for Buildling some technical trail skills.

Review: Great trail within ottawa city limits ,head there every time i visit family. Lots of rock loose and rolling ,for a real challenge head there in the rain or with snow . Ruled by mosquitos at certain times of the summer

Review: Simply the best mountain bike trails I have ever ridden!! Awesome, tricky, technical, speedy, challenging and in great shape (late Sept 2015). These trails are marked 'green' intermediate, but are easily the same as the black (advanced) trails at Kelso. Hugely fun. The advanced trails (you have to go through the intermediates to get them) are equally spectacular. Very tough, but doable, always a line - but legpower, technical skills and taking the right line make all the difference. I could'nt find anything that an relatively experienced mbt'r couldn't do, as long as you weren't too tired or hurt. The Ottawa Mountain Bike Association do an awesome job (more signs please!), and I will make this an annual trip. Spectacular!

Review: quite technical. easy to get lost. without signage, map is useless. ask for directions from the friendly locals. exhausting in bug season as there's no opportunity to stop unless you want to get ravaged. However, the trail is fantastic - ladders, an a-frame, a downhill section, lots of rocks and a great upper body workout too.
