Q: This says 13km mountain bike trails but, when I look up the park, it only talks about the 1.5km Spicer trail. Is the rest easy to find or could someone supply directions to the various other trails?
A: It is not worth going there for a ride , I combined everything I could find including farm fields and a quad trail path down to the lake front . Let me know where you are located and I'll direct you to a good location. I search out new locations weekly... just about
Q: Thanks! Turkey Point and Woodstock too far for now and others should keep me busy until race. Komoka, Elgin, Dalewood, Boler, Fanshawe, Kains all in sight ;) What about trails at Springbank Park, Western University and MeadowLilly, London? Dalewood looks real narrow with bushes for 1/2-2/3 :O
Q: K, I'd send you a private about that but I don't see a way. I'll explain what I can but I don't like saying too much about myself on a public forum!
I've got a related race in some weeks but I'm weak in the mountain biking area although I am enjoying it so I'm trying to hit a wide range of mountain bike trails to get a crash course so to speak. I'm heading into the area of St. Thomas and London because my area has very little. Going to be around for 2 dedicated days and I may come back for another 2 days a couple of weeks later. I wanted to explore all of the trails that seemed to be worth going on. I'm not allergic to carrying the bike a bit in places and/or just getting a jog on a trail if not good enough for bike. The main concentration is mountain bike trails though from beginner to intermediate, maybe advanced too. Thanks in advance!
A: Here's a list of local trails in order that you would get more of a training ride in as opposed to a trail search hike a bike especially if you are prepping for a race of some sort
London -komoka trails, kains road , Boler ( pay and go ) good work out , Fanshawe lake(pay) - the pines woodstock
if you have time go to Turkey point , and Cristie lake
St thomas has Dalewood buts its clay and may still be wet , Elgin trail from paynes mills (may be slow and muddy currently) or go in off of sunset drive St thomas sunny car wash - trail forks for some of the actual paths
