Trail Description
About this trail
This trail connects the Jake Mountain trailhead and Bull Mountain trailhead. It is actually the best constructed section of singletrack out there, and probably also the newest. It's a really fun piece of trail! This one isn't on the map yet, but the route is pretty easy to follow. At one spot it hits the road, and you have to hang a left and a quick right (if you are climbing from Jake TH) to pick up the trail.

Update 7/11/13:

Since the time this trail was added to Singletracks, other trails have been built in the Bull Mountain trail system with a similar design. Also, this trail now sees a lot of traffic since it serves as the main conduit between the Jake Mountain and Bull Mountain trailheads. So, this trail sees a lot of wear and sometimes doesn't drain very well, but maintenance continues to help keep it in decent repair.

Review: Fun and flowie, but poorly marked rode it last week and got ourselves good and lost. Ended up riding a good portion of Bull Mtn. as well. Had a map, but got caught in rain and once soaked was worthless. Good uphill workout with only 1 real steep section that I saw. Good chance to enjoy scenery on the parts that are fire road too.

Review: Yup, this trail is fast, bidirectional, and used by horses and bikes. So much so, that the May workparty was just to clear sightlines to help reduce user conflict. I heard it wasn't enough and they're going to have to come back to trim even more, so be especially vigilant for horses on the trail.

Review: Nice warm-up before hitting Bull Mt. Definitely some ups and downs that will get your heart pumping. And some nice flow. Use this to get from the easily accessible Jake Mt parking to Bull Mt.

Review: fast, flowing single track, lots of fun going from Jake to Bull. Some climbing, though not to steep, going the other way. The trail is multi use and bi-directional, however, so some caution must be taken.

Review: This is too short to get a 5 star rating from me but it's always in excellent shape. very fun connecter to get from jake to Bull. The local group does an amazing job maintaining and keeping this trail clean.

Review: This trail is also known as "Super-secret." Recent trail work has smoothed out some ruts, but they also removed some fun obstacles (roots).

Review: As the slowest-drying trail at Bull Mountain, this was running fast and dry the past two days! It's currently super buffed out and absolutely rocking! Hopefully the forecasted rain for tomorrow doesn't soak it too much.

Review: it's been a while since i've ridden this, and i went out and linked it up with the regular bull mountain ride for a good long morning. i had forgotten how great the flow was on this section of trail! seriously, sweet flow! all of the switchbacks are totally climbable... this is where it's at!

Review: BRING YOUR MAP, KIDS! Non-uniform trail markings and a lack of posted maps got us disoriented. Though we had a blast, our hour outing ended up a 4 hour trek and just a little worried about nightfall. The hills are significant, but nothing you can't handle. Prepare for a granny gear workout, followed by sweeping descents on this well maintained trail. Oh, and be on the look out for the cabin from Evil Dead. 400 feet beyond this creepy scene you'll find an old school bus rusting in the woods; don't miss great photo shoot!

Similar Trail: Unique in my experience.
