Review: The trail starts out in Herron Park and follows logging trails for about 7.5 miles. Finally you begin the single track, though there are still a couple sections of old logging road. The final 5 miles are single track. For added enjoyment, you can take the newly completed Lakeside to Blacktail Trail (all beautiful single track). I jumped on to Blacktail Road and completed the days trip at the Tamarack Brew Pub. Took me about 4.5 hours, but I am pretty slow.

Review: This was a very enjoyable area, and I want to go back. There is a lot of climbing but choices of how hard an effort you would like to put in. The map system is pretty good and there are a number of trail choices.

Review: Great set of trails due to proximity to Kalispell. We have done this trail network on two different yearly visits now. It's super quick to get out to and have a few hours ride. None of the trails are very technical, there is a set of switchback climbs at the far end that provide some good endurance climbs. After quite a bit of climbing in, you get a pretty nice downhill and single track to come back on. Overall a great easy quick ride when you don't want to drive far.

Review: Definitely some nice singletrack out here. Not too difficult, but perfect for a quick after work ride!

Review: Most of this trail is current or abandoned logging roads, some single track created by hikers. Stay on main logging road rather than follow FTBT signs. These signs currently lead to a dead end with a sign that reads, "Temporary End." It is possible to go all the way to Black Tail, but the correct route is not always apparent and requires lots of route-finding.
