The trail was recently shortened due to changes at the mansion but is now back to being obviously laid out. Also, a nature trail was incorporated so there is the possibility of foot traffic in some areas but it usually isn't an issue. The trailhead has moved to beside the garage on the West side of the drive and I haven't seen the waivers posted so they may no longer be necessary. It's not perfect but I consider it a jem for being in town and on private ground and very close to my house. It is transitioning from the owner mostly maintaining it to our local TMBA volunteers so be patient but we'll get there. Hit me up if you have questions, I'm new to this app but my email is sotipnomonatgmailcom. The upper roller coasters are not for the faint of heart. Enjoy!

Terrible lay out, and terribly marked. How they figure six miles I'll never know. The trails are literally 4 feet apart crammed into the backyard of the Haan Mansion, and there is literally no flow. Don't waste your time.

Where exactly is this trail at? The topo map shows it in the middle of downtown Lafayette with no trail depicted, so I assume it's somewhere else. I'm moving back to the area and would like to try this trail out.

There is a Google map to the trail at lafayettebiketrails.com, but just in case: From 9th and Main St in downtown Lafayette, go south up 9th St hill; just before the top of the hill go left on State St. (1st left after South St) for 100 feet. The trailhead is on the left (north) side of the street at the far end of the long drive of the large house. You can see the trailhead sign from the road.
