Trail Description
About this trail
The Geraldine MTB track is an easy Sunday spin. The track has no technical or scenic interest but is tranquil, flat and fast if you're in the mood. It's suitable for the whole family.

The track goes up and down the banks of the Orari River which is generally dry in summer so you can cross it. The track is sometimes singletrack and sometimes follows old four wheel drive tracks.

The locals obviously enjoy it as it appears to be well used and there is a nice brochure about it available at the Geraldine information centre. An annual mountain bike event is held on the track each year in March. You'll find information at

Review: There is currently 30km of trail up and down the banks of the Orari Rivier. I didn't ride the section north of the Orari Bridge. What I did ride was pleasant enough - an easy workout. There are no cafes or other stops along the way.
