Trail Description
About this trail
Trail follows old railroad grade into Ilium valley and goes about 20 miles one way. The tread is
not very technical, the grade is quite reasonable. Another great Telluride trail, especially for
those unaccustomed to the altitude since this is a fairly easy climb.

Review: Great trail xcountry trail that goes as long as you want. Several places that cross roads and intersect with other trails if you don't intend to ride the entire length. Great views and scenery.

Review: The trail is pretty mellow. i started at the top of Lizard Head pass riding thru Henry Ford's family property down the the River Trail and back up to Telluride

Similar Trail: Telluride ski lift assisted rides. Bear Creek, Bridal Veil Falls, steep!

Review: Great trail for a low stress ride with beginners. 2% railroad grade is perfect for those of moderate conditioning.
