Q: Of the three trails, which is best suited to beginners? -Guest

A: Black Forest is suppose to be the beginner trail. I went on it for my very first trail and the only issue i had was climbing the hills. Its not a very flat trail it has alot of small hills to go up and down but no hard obstacles.

Review: The best Tennessee has to offer for TRUE NATURAL SINGLETRACK. Challenging climbs and very rewarding downhill. This trail had to have been laid out and built by some true professionals.

Review: Hard to find any trails laid out any better than these. They are directional so you don't have to worry about running into someone as you fly through the trails. Did all ten miles and you will love them. Log Rhythm does have a bit of a long climb but it's not too steep, not that hard.

Similar Trail: Altoona Creek.

Review: This is a great system of well used & maintained trails. Flow & moderate challenge abound. For first timers, whenever you cross a road, you are crossing into the next loop. It is also directional, so check the signs. TNT is the best of the 3 in my opinion, but all are good. Wish this system was closer to home.

Review: I would agree. I too was told this trail is so so. I don't live in the area so was told to do other trail systems. I'm glad I didn't listen either. I've ridden in the rockies, midwest, eastcost and now tried this. I found it to be very fun, challenging, well marked, and fast and flowy in areas. I do wish it was not directional because I would like to have tried the other way as well. I will definitely try this one again. Not to mention, they have tools and pumps as a service to riders at the base for free. Never seen that before. What a nice thing the park service did for riders. I just hope some idiot does not go and steal them. I like the change of scenery with the trees from oaks to pines and such. Quit cool. Some sections reminded me of Dupont in NC (Pisgah) area. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Review: Definitely worth the visit. If you are in Chattanooga for any length go back and hit the alternate directional days. I had heard some snobs in a bike shop say how boring they found Enterprise. I'm glad I didn't listen

Similar Trail: Five Points by geology and ecology but not as big.

Review: This is an excellent trail system close to the city and doesn't require a lot of time to make a trip. There are essentially 3 trails to ride...beginner, intermediate, and advanced. The intermediate trail is a nice flowing single track at about 6 miles long and allows you to keep pretty good speed through most of the trail. I prefer to hit all 3 back-to-back for about a 10 mile ride.

Review: The trail is in outstanding shape and well maintained. The trail is fast and flowing. I just love all the bunkers. I just love how the trails are designed to be ridden in different directions.

Similar Trail: Blankets Creek with a little less climbing

Review: I am from Nashville and have been hearing a lot of chatter about this trail system. I have to say, it was not dissapointing. This is not a difiicult trail but is mostly just plain fun, fast and flowing. There is great trail markings so you really can't get too lost. The trail is directional by day of the week, which I think is a great idea, makes it like two trails in one.
