Trail Description
About this trail
This sweet singletrack connects with Alderfer/3 Sisters Park. From the lake house ride your bike out of the parking lot on the rode you drove in on.Just before the bridge turn right and follow the trail along the side of the creek. You will cross 2 bridges. After you cross the second bridge over Bear Creek. Pioner trail is directly in front of you. Cross Upper Bear Creek Road. As the trail [more like a bike path] turns to the right look for Dedisse Trail on your left. Follow the trail for about a mile and cross Upper Bear Creek Road again. Skirt the golf course, climb up a couple of switchbacks to the ridge. At the end of the ridge Dedisse Trail connects with Hidden Fawn Trail part of Aldefer/3 Sisters trail system. From here I like to take Hidden Fawn Trail to the parking lot cross over Buffalo Park Road, follow Evergreen East Trail to top of Evergtreen Mountain. Take Evergreen Mountain Trail West down to Wild Iris cross Buffalo Park Road to the parking lot follow Meadowlark trail to Homested Trail and finally back Pondarosa trail to Hidden Fawn Trail and Dedisse Trail. When I get back to Upper Bear Creek Road I follow the road back to the lake house. You can usually get maps of Aldefer/3Sisters at one of the parking lots if you are unsure of trails in Aldifer/3 Sisters Park. Ridden like this it makes about a 15 mile lolipop!!SWEET!!!

Review: Hard going up the hill but great coming down excellent way to finish and extend 3 sisters ride

Review: This trail definitely has its moments. There are flowy cross country moments and there are heinous climbing moments. There are moments for bobbing and weaving through the pines and there are moments for hauling it down and carefully maneuvering switchbacks. Overall, the trail is nice, but doesn't seem to have a personality of its own. It does make a nice way to add miles to a Alderfer/3 Sisters ride, especially as a start/finish with Alderfer in the middle.

Review: Very steep (for this fat guy). Connect with 3 sisters. The descent is worth "the price of admission " but be courteous and watch out for hikers.

Review: Bring your legs and lungs. Steep switch backs with rock areas for the first half of the trail. second half is a good ride and meets up with all the 3 sisters trails. Going back down the grade was fun.

Review: Did the Dedisse Trail from the Golf course to Hidden Fawn and then up Evergreen Mountain loop. Kind of torn on this review because I thought there were sections of Dedisse I loved (part between Hidden Fawn and the road was great) but there were also lots of rocky and sandy sections that I didn't like at all. Climbing up some of that stuff was a pain. I didn't have a chance to do the whole Dedisse trail system though so next time when I go back, I'll reevaluate. I'm a much bigger fan of the technical sections at Lair O' The Bear and Mount Falcon (particularly Parmalee trail) then the technical sections here.

Review: The dedisse trail is really fun and has a great mix of rocky technical sections and short, hard climbs. If you connect it to the sisters trail you can make it a big loop. My advice would be to avoid the upper sections of the sisters trail because it is virtually unrideable with the tight switchbacks, water bars and gigantic rocks on the trail (basically hikers only). The berrybear trail is very smooth and fun, the ponderosa trail is easy and has no real hard sections. Overall this is a fun trail and you can connect with it with the 3 sisters/alderfer area and do a whole bunch of different short variations. Just avoid upper sections of 3 sisters trail because you will end up walking a lot of it.

Review: The majority of this trail is so-so, nothing great but not bad either. The real treat is descending back to the road crossing. Super flowy through the forest with a couple of air opportunities.

Review: We rode the Hidden Fawn trail from the Three Sisters/Aldefer trailhead to the Dedisse trail and then down to Upper Bear Creek Road. Turned around (because we didnt' know that the trail continued on across the road) and went back up the (steep!) hill, hit Hidden Fawn again and back to the trail head. Nice mix of rocky sections with nicely flowing singletrack mixed in with steep switchbacks. Very scenic. Lots of shade and forest areas down by the golf course.* Review edited 7/2/2012

Review: What an awesome trail! Tons of little technical sections for beginners and intermediate riders. Beautiful singletrack trail. Not the best markers but if you can navigate correctly, we made it to the lookout off Ponderosa trail and had a great 360 degree view of the valley.
