Trail Description
About this trail
Currently (as of late 2011) approximately 10 of the proposed 14 mile trail
are in place and ready to ride. Once completed, the trail will be a
multipurpose trail that connects the Cloudland Canyon State Park to the
Lula Lake land trust. Mostly wide doubletrack and old forest roads which
are slowly being reclaimed by nature. A couple of small climbs but nothing
too steep. Be alert for horses and hikers.

Review: Great ride that links to so much terrific singletrack. There are plenty of fun flowing sections and when you start heading up towards nickajack things start to get a bit more technical and demanding. The 28 mile out and back would make for a fun morning on its own.

Review: Overall the trails are great for riding . Great places to change , use restroom or picnic . The trails are roudy XC trails . If you crave jumps and real down hill in my opinion this place will not satisfy .

Review: This is a perfect design for what its purpose is. Its a trail connector. The cct is a trail you could wear flip flops riding but the other trails connect to this. My intention was to take the connector to 5 points but I ran into bark eater which was rated a double black diamond so i had to try. The trails connecting to the cct are marked and rated with distance. Its very clean and well kept and after awhile it actually turns into an old blacktop. Perfect trail for a family or someone you are introducing to mtb. I think its pretty awesome if you treat it as a connector and not the trail you intended to ride for any kind of difficulty. Georgia has provided a great system I think. Roll Tide

Review: Only got to ride 4 miles of the trail due to a mechanical problem. Decent flow. Very nice scenery. Bring $5.00 to park. Out and back of 28 miles total.

Review: Well groomed single track, fast flowing, nice bridge work. Very beginner friendly and makes for a good warm up before hitting 5 Points. Ample parking, privy and changing station at trailhead. As with a Georgia state parks, you have the $5.00 parking permit.

Review: Fun trail with great potential but not really well kept up for mtb. Some great flows were interrupted multiple times by downed trees. Pretty rooty at times.

Review: Mostly utilitarian, point-A-to-point-B trail but it's still fun ride. Great way to add mileage to a ride at Five Points.

Review: This is a solid singletrack trail that adds some real mileage onto the riding in the area. And while it is pretty well-built singletrack, after spending most of the day riding at Five Points it is apparent that this lakes the care and attention to detail found at the main attraction. The trail design on the CCT just isn't as ingenious: it's more of a basic point-to-point trail design. Also, it's immediately aparent when you get off of the mountain bike-only trails and get on the shared use trails. They're just never as good. So while it doesn't hold a candle to Five Points, if you want more singletrack miles, it's there if you need it.

Review: if you park at the nickajack trailhead and ride up to 5pts, it's a good climb and then you can enjoy the flow of slickenside, tailings run and hogsback. back down the hill to the car. 20 miles
