Mountain Biking Cliff Hanger

#60 of 251 mountain bike trails in Wyoming

Cliff Hanger is a .7 mile trail that connects the Volin trailhead to the Canyons trail at the northwest end of Crystal Reservoir. The narrow singletrack hugs the reservoir bank, usually at least 30ft above the water. There are a few rocky obstacles to keep the ride interesting, and one heavily marked ledge that could send you over the side into the water. The signs tell you to dismount, and there was little risk of falling when walking this section. There is very little elevation change on this trail, so there is very little grunting required to get the cool views of the reservoir. CGSPs maps mark this as an "advanced" trail. I'd call it an intermediate trail.
