Trail Description
About this trail
A mostly flat, genuine XC trail. Trail consists of six loops, mostly beginner in nature, very little climbing, but plenty of opportunity to gain speed and practice your turning skills. Creek crossings along short steep drops & climbs are the most challenging features here.

The North Side loop can be entered from the south west corner of the parking lot, or by crossing the creek just before you enter "Goatman's Island"

Review: It would be a 4 if better maintained. Guessing City of Burleson helps the volunteer group who did the trails. Hopefully the city will see the future benefit of these mtb trails and step up. Narrow trails with vegetation taking over in some spots and poison ivy like crazy throughout the place.

Review: Nearly 8 miles of trails here now, with a fairly tough segment called "wrecked them". 2 creek crossings and lots of pedaling which gives one a good cardio workout.

Review: I have mixed feelings about this trail. What I like - decent mileage, no difficult climbs, flowy most of the time (not downhill flow like Northshore or CHSP, but plenty of opportunity for decent speed), lots of tree coverage. It's a good place to go if you just wanna burn some calories, or want to work on your high speed cornering skills.

What I don't like - Trees & Tree gates. There are A LOT of tree gates here, and they are narrow... some of them are borderline ridiculous. I have 725mm handlebars, and I still clipped a handful of trees. Anything wider than 725mm would be a liability here.

Thorns - If you go off trail, there is a good chance you'll pick up some thorns. You definitely want to be tubeless here.

Other complaints I'd have are that its a bit crowded and the hikers aren't directed to go in the opposite direction of the bikers. And lastly, there really aren't any TTF's, jumps, drops, boardwalks or skinnies. The most difficult features you'll see here are half pipe style rollers, a few steep drops and a few punchy climbs.

I had the most fun on the field and west loops. "Wrecked Them" and "North side" are similar to EKG at River Legacy or parts of Knob Hills, but in my opinion, not quite on the same level. I didn't really dig the south town that much.

This trail would be a good place to visit in the summer as there is lots of tree coverage and its not too physically demanding.

Similar Trail: River Legacy, parts of Knob Hills

Review: Liked it alot. Dont mind go again. Theres like trails in groups. Easy to tough. One trail is flowy, flat and others arent. Fun to practice there.

Review: This is a beginners intermediate. It's a great ride if you live in the city and don't want to travel far. Well worth the exercise. For anyone that likes MB riding and lives in the Burleson area I would highly recommend it. About 6 miles of mainly flat single track trail. There are a few excellent dips built into it that can be avoided if you like.
