Mountain Biking Cheesman Ranch
#1,340 of 1,430 mountain bike trails in Colorado
This 5.4 mile loop winds through beautiful mixed conifer forest (with lots of aspen) and large meadows with beautiful views of Pikes Peak. The trail itself is generally smooth and often as wide as a narrow dirt road. The surface is often loose scree, but it is not deep, except in a rare spot or two. Some climbs and descents are quite steep while others are more gradual. As with many trails in MSP, this trail seems more suited for a gravel bike than a mountain bike.

Follow the main road (Wapiti Road) through the park first west and then north for 2.9 miles until it dead ends at the back end (far north end) of Grouse Mountain Campground. Here you will find a parking lot/trailhead for several trails, including Cheesman Ranch Trail. Lots of parking available.
