Review: Pretty cool urban trail that I've heard about for several years and finally got the opportunity to ride. Nothing like redlining in the first 5 minutes of a ride. Super steep climbs with sharp switchbacks but very doable. Cool bridges to cross and it's clear that a lot of love has been given to this trail. Enjoyed the out and back to Tallassee Rd and then a couple loops back on the steep start so we could ride the ridge above the highway at the end. Very cool, and how can you go wrong with a finish at the Terrapin Brewing Co. right up the street? You can't. Great ride.

Review: Great trail for urban riding. Loops around Athens. Some technical, some climbing.

Review: This fun little out and back trail has a lot going for it. There are some steep climbs, tight turns, and fun technical sections. Someone built a new bridge over the creek finally replacing the super sketchy metal grate that had been there forever. Someone from the rail yard above the trail pushed a bunch huge logs onto the trail towards the end. They are kind of slippery, so watch out when carrying over them.

Review: One of th best trails to ride in Athens. Follow the powerpine and climb the huge utility road, entrance is to the left.

Review: Wow. We had a blast on this trail. its a beautiful ride through the woods with bridge crossings/jumps. very technical though. if you want a smooth ride go to the Greenway pavement. those who are up for a challenge try this!

Review: Rode what I could find of the trail. Extremely overgrown. This trail is a bootleg track with logs down over numerous parts. Impossible to maintain speed and flow. I will not be back.

Review: It's been a couple years since I've last rode this trail, and I was excited to find that it was still in great condition! There was one major tree down, but log overs have been built on most of the tree crossings, and there even has been a little reroute built around some logging/grading that had been done. Such a great trail, so glad I got the opportunity to ride it again!

Review: Very technical single track, with lots of steep climbs and tight switchbacks. Adding this trail to my weekly riding schedule greatly improved my riding on other trails. Not a good trail for downhill riders.

Review: I don't know what the heck people are used to riding around here but so far I've found nothing special. This trail is quite overgrown in spots, there are a number of downed trees that will stop you, spider webs everywhere, good lord. The only thing I can say is that there are 1 or 2 spots where you can get some decent speed. Overall, a rough riding day!! So far Georgia has not impressed me.

Review: Directions to trailhead: From the Loop in Athens, get off at the chase street exit. The trail starts under a powerline behind a gate on the northside (outside) of the loop. (The service road heading west). trail starts in between where the road forks. For reference, trailhead directions to Chase street have been available for years at http://trails.mtbr.com/cat/united-states-trails/trails-georgia/trail/PRD_167567_4541crx.aspx and http://mtobikes.com/chase-street-mountain-bike-trail-athens-ga/ Put on your trail scouting goggles and find all the sections of trail
