Review: Pedal up Homestead to the shell burg falls sign and continue right through the wooden gate to see the new section at Catamount - a flowy out and back that adds 30 mins or so to the ride. There's some large berms and wallrides and optional airs that add some excitement to the loop. Pedal back up to the top, and then do the original catamount trail, a flowy, pedally ride with only a few climbs. Stay in a higher gear and keep your momentum going to fly through the lower sections of the trail. Tech is a at a minimum but you'll still have fun connecting flowy turns around the ferns and downed trees. This is a great place to go night riding too, there's no intense climbing to fog up your goggles and no large jumps to confuse your depth perception. This trail has come leaps and bounds even in the last 6 months. In the summer like this the trail is moist but puddle free - very tacky. What a great local ride when I don't feel like climbing Blackrock. It can also be fun to take your lights at night and go on the Silver Falls trails but this is illegal, you've been warned. Be very respectful of the pedestrian only trails, no skidding, no smashing jumps, no making new lines. The Rim Trail is a great XC style ride cutting though the most scenic parts of silver falls. You cannot do this during daylight unless you want a ticket or you want to inconvenience 20 hikers who will call the ranger on you. Be like a ghost and be quiet. Enjoy!!!!

Review: Hit this thing with a OneWheel today and I will without a doubt be returning regularly. It is an enjoyable ride for sure and may be easy on a mountain bike but on a OneWheel the main trail has some technical portions that take some focus attention to detail. The training loop portions are awesome to tune your situational skills and if you want to dial back the amplitude for a short stent they are a solid float. Surf the Dirt!

Review: This trail is coming along nicely. Some nice climbs and technical turns. Can't wait till this trail dries out over late spring and summer. Well worth the 1 hour drive from Portland!

Review: Trail was just opened May 1, 2016. A testy XC ride of almost 4 miles. You can loop the ride with a grind up the rough gravel Lookout Mountain Road from the 214 TH on the east side of the park. Though not technical, this is a trail that demands your attention. With time the trail will become more packed increasing the speed, flow and fun. The builders did a great job and it is worth the time. You could tie this trail in with the Shelburg Falls trails just south of the Park for quite a day of climbing and DH fun. The nearby Silver Fall Grocery is a great refueling spot afterwards......burgers, shakes and beer.
