Trail Description
About this trail
Nice singletrack trail, some rolling hill type sections, some steep climbs or descents depending on which way your choosing to go...also a doubletrack/dirt road(which I did not include in the mileage) that circles the entire lake that can be ridden by anyone with a little fitness under their belt....trails kept in good condition.....MS state games race held here once a year.... I would say currently, this is one of the top trails in MS.

Q: Can you rent a bike -Guest

A: No. There is a bike shop in meridian that you can buy one from though. It's called Heart and Sole Fitness.

Review: Most of these trails are not beginner friendly. But there is a short trail called the Family Loop that is. These trails are hilly and techy.

Review: 4.5 mile loop if you ride the gravel trail only all the way around back to the parking lot. This loop is a work out and not technical other than just climbing the hills. There are 10 miles of single track which can be difficult to follow. The single track is now marked with blue dots and there are numbered post as well. I have a map I can email which might help some. Single track has Sandy spots, a couple of rocky places and climbs and descends over roots and a few wash outs. Trails are maintained by a few local riders and some sections can get grassy during the summer. Ticks have been an issue in the past but since we have been weedeating and spraying they have not been a problem this in 2016.

Review: Nice ride but was hard for me to follow. Hills and sand was an unexpected surprise.

Review: No rain for days and dusty. The section of trail I rode is in good condition - 8/4/2015. One minor detour to avoid a blowdown, otherwise perfect.

Review: Not sure why this trail has bad reviews. Maybe they have done some work in the past year, I rode for almost 2 hours. The trail is well maintained. print out a map if you can, there isn't one posted on the trail. Awesome park

Review: I was impressed with this trail. the mtb trails were well maintained, and a good workout. Rode it last weekend when we were visiting Collinsville. I'm from Atlanta so I am spoiled with great trails. This is one I will be doing every time I am in town. You could spend 2 hours riding trails or just 30 minutes.

Review: I will give this trail 2 stars because of the fact that you are not in a biking area. The trail was awful. Nice park, terrible trail. There were a few parts close to the trailhead that were not bad. I enjoyed the place for the first 3 or 4 miles.

There were no maps to take and only 1 to read. If you ride here, take a picture of it. My topo map wouldnt read properly either. The trail that was not right at the start was in terrible condition. It seemed I was the only person to ride through there in weeks. I ended up riding through a tick bed, finding 18 ticks on my legs after my ride.

I guess if you are stuck in Meridian, ride here, but do not go out of your way for this trail.

These trails may have been nice years ago but need some serious work today.

Review: Excellent intermediate level trail system. Trail makes full use of the 200 feet of elevation making numerous runs up and down the ridge. Mostly a lot of tight singletrack with some faster open downhill runs, including one half-pipe type. With all the crossing, and short-cut trails it can be quite difficult trying to follow the trail in the correct order. Don't worry about, just go ride, explore, and have fun. Gravel access road running through the middle provides an easy out, or easy climb to bomb the ST down. Rode the trail 24 hrs after heavy rain. Might be the best time to ride it, as the trail is quite sandy.

Review: I biked in here from in town (Meridian) where I was on business. It's very close, in fact the area borders a shopping mall which you'll overlook at one point on the blue/orange blazed trail. I only had time to take one loop through. I'm just about a total green horn and found myself in over my head at times and panting for breath on some climbs, not that It's terribly technical, but there are some steep spots, one tumped me over backwards. Some where along the way I lost track of the blue flags and ended up following the orange out. It all worked out in the end. I had a learning experience. There are walking paths along the lake which prohibit bicycling.
