Trail Description
About this trail
Bond Brook has been created and maintained by the Central Maine Chapter of NEMBA. It is a "work in progress" although land owner issues have cause some delays. There are several mini-loops off the parking area. The easiest is to take the birch entrance, follow it until it dumps you off onto a piece of double track. The single track continues straight ahead. (there is a pretty nasty switchback you have to contend with first...loose granite and slate) Follow it until you get to the power lines. From there, follow the red flags. It will loop you around until you get to the "Bicycle Trail". (there is an old rusted out bike on the side of it) Continue to follow the single track (labeled with red flags) until you get back to the lot.

The signage isn't overly clear. It is possible to get a little lost. Following all the red flags WILL help.

Review: This place has some super flowy down hill sections that make the climbs well worth it. Fun place to ride

Review: Ignore the intro written up for this trail system. It is way outdated! Lots of new trails added and old trails buffed. Super flowy stuff and old school roots and rocks just to keep you on your toes. You can pick up trail maps of all the local trails at local bike shops, Tom's Bike Boutique or Mathieu's. The trails at Bond Brook really are worth a visit. If you'd like a local to show you around, just give a shout out on our CeMeNEMBA Facebook page and someone will most likely come forward.

Review: A lot of new trails & trail updates. Trails still lack signage and you'll criss cross your ride a few times, but it's the best riding in the Augusta area. There's some nice downhill and XC, and some challenging climbs to go down them again. The trails represent classic New England trails - narrow single track with a lot of roots & rock.

Review: Best trails in Augusta area.... Technical single track with lots of vertical. Most of the trails are dispersed on around one of the larger hills in the area....fun descents, switchback climbs, and with a little bit of flow. Try the natural half pipe trail "wannabe"... Lots of fun. Over the last few years the trails have expanded

Review: Me and my brother have been riding at bond brook regularly for the last year, every time we go there is something new to try, lots of technical single track, challenging climbs, and fun downhill. Have been very impressed with the amount of riding there is to do there. Best riding I've found in the area

Review: The joke about Bond Brook is that there are only two directions- up or down. The flow and speed of the downhill trails are well worth the effort to get back up. Each year a few new trails have been added providing plenty of terrain. And unlike Bradbury, the trails are in good condition and you can ride all day without running into anyone.

Review: Updated review - since my last visit, the CeMeNemba guys and glad have been doing an outstanding job! There are several miles of trails to be had and each one has a different character. From some technical rocky, rooty, classic East Riding to some serious flow, I wasn't prepared for how good this area has become. There is still a lack of signage and you really need to either get in touch with a local or really scout the trail map on the website. The switchback section opposite the airfield has really blossomed into a smile inducing 3 minute descent. Looking forward to my next trip back!

Review: It's not a huge amount of trails but it is expanding. What is there is incredible. There is a little bit of everything. Wooded windy single track. Descents fun climbs smooth float areas technical rooty areas etc. and it's really well designed and built by and for bikers.
