Trail Description
About this trail
18 miles and roughly 4,000 vertical feet of climbing up to the top of Blacktail
Mountain via a dirt/gravel road... this is one epic ride up, and one epic ride
downtown! Take it from me: if it is just starting to warm in the valley, it will
still be freezing b*** cold at the summit 4,000 feet higher. and the little
dampness of the climb will turn into a freezing mud spray on the way down.
do this in the summer!! And yes, it is a serious stinking climb!

Review: This is a long and dusty ride, but the views are beautiful. It is best to combine this with the trail that runs north (Foy's to Blacktail Trail) off of Blacktail to Emmonds road and drop either to Kila, Patrick Creek, or over to Spring Creek past Lion Mountain. The ride north is a nice single track until you reach Emmonds road.

Review: This is a long climb but it has some excellent views! All gravel road. Intermediate rating because it is a massive climb, but it is not technically difficult at all.
