Bear Paw is generally used as the initial grunt up from the trailhead to reach the rest of the trail system. It is pretty steep singletrack and climbs unrelentingly for over a mile, leading to.... more climbing. Get your climbing shoes on!
It's a steady climb to the trail from the WW Center, but the climbing eases off if Bear Paw is ridden CCW. This route is far easier than climbing West Fork or Thunder Rock.

Thank | Edit |Stiff climb, but as fast as you want back to the trail head.
