Mountain Biking Atlatl

  Add a review
#353 of 405 mountain bike trails in Georgia
#27,113 in the world

From the Ascalon Trailhead, Atlatl begins on the Cloudland Canyon Connector Trail - Price Branch Section just uphill from the Price Branch Bridge. It is a singletrack alternative to the Cloudland Canyon Connector Trail - Price Branch Section, which crosses it twice between its termini, which are also on the Cloudland Canyon Connector Trail - Price Branch Section.

Like the Barkeater with Poor Pony Option on the other side of Price Branch, it weaves in and out of small gullies on the plateau and offers more dips and flow than the Cloudland Canyon Connector Trail - Price Branch Section offers. However, Atlatl does not have any rock gardens.

In some spots, the trail becomes relatively narrow and steep, although not so steep that it is impossible to ride. Watch out for ticks in the warmer months as there is often some vegetation over the trail.
