Starting from trail #1 'Pink Line' through the gate only for mountain bikers , trail #1 leads you onto trail #2 'Rock Salt' & this trail then leads onto the main trail head of the park where 5 separate trails then lead off from this trail head . The trails vary from easy(green) , then onto intermediate(blue) & then single black diamond , double black diamond & then the triple black diamond runs that would seriously challenge the riders of the Red Bull Rampage , its a big call , take a very serious look at these trails before you even consider them . Trail #8 'Pins & Needles' starts with a black diamond technical skills test & the singletracks into numerous large jumps , fast sections , steep drops off camber traverses , only to be considered by very advanced to professional standard . Fortunately , most of the trails will test intermediate to advanced , & the views on some trails is ridiculously beautiful . This MTB Park trail network loops around the top of a mountain , & the surrounding views of the ocean & nearby vineyards are simply stunning . The terrain is varied , & the trails are in top condition traversing through different forests , switchbacks , fast flowing singletrack , loops , jumps all along the blue & black trails of varying height & technical difficulty . The trails are newly marked but take a trail map as there are some fire trail connecting trails to the network of trails . The MTB Park was only opened in autumn 2015 in conjunction with the RedHillRiders MTB Club & Parks Victoria . There are pine forests , vineyards , sweeping views of the ocean , very nice sandy loam surfaces on the trails so they don't get muddy even after much rain . Along trail #3 'Slippery Gypsy' , it snakes through a forest of wildflowers , ferns under a canopy of trees . There are some easy trails that are beginner friendly , as well as some trails that are fast descending technical trails with berms , huge jumps , a & b line options , as well as big rock drops & steep chutes , only for those who really know what they are doing . I would have to rate this MTB Park as one of the country's finest , & the National Parks Service as well as Red Hill Riders MTB Club are still building , planning & adding new trails . This MTB Park is awesome fun for beginners to very advanced . The park has recently been granted some money for newly built trails which should be interesting . The Red Hill Riders MTB Club also have a great trail maintenance crew & do a great job keeping the trails well maintained . There is a social ride every month on a Sunday , check their website as to their calendar .
