I've been riding the various trails in and around Lake Chabot for decades. I typically no longer ride on any of the asphalt trails mostly because of encounters with walkers and it's boring. I ride from Lake Chabot Rd up to the ranger station which gives me a decent warmup. From there I go on Ten Hills trail then onto Brandon around the golf course. Once past the golf course Brandon trail is all up hill for about 20 minutes, with various amount of incline. I take Towhee trail down through the campground to Honker Bay Trail along Lake Chabot to Cameron trail back to Ten Hills trail and home. With the interconnecting trails you can ride for hours into the Oakland hills. the longest I've done is about 20 miles, but you can go a lot farther if you want. Best to get free Anthony Chabot Regional park map. Please note that the trail that is listed on this site is only a fraction of what's available. I won't grade this trail because the criteria is too limiting.
