Trail Description
About this trail
The Hines Parkway exists as a flood basin of the Middle Rouge River, and Edward Hines Drive winds along the river for more than 15 miles from Dearborn in the east to Northville in the west. You'll find pretty much anything you'd want in a park here. Soccer fields, baseball diamonds, playscapes, many scenic picnic areas, open fields, paved and dirt bike trails and barbecue grills line the road, some by the river, some by lakes and some in quiet fields adorned with wild flowers and shade trees. In short, Hines is a great place to get away for leisure or recreation on a sunny spring or summer day. In the fall, a drive through Hines provides a beautiful look at southeast Michigan's autumn foliage. In the winter, the park offers sledding and skating venues as well as its annual production of the Wayne County Lightfest, one of the best holiday light displays in the Midwest."

Review: Great out and back singletrack trails close to Metro Detroit. From East to West the Riverview trail offers some good flow as it follows along the Rouge River, once you cross over Ann Arbor rd. to pick up the Lakeview trail which starts back up on your right just past the Lake Pointe Yacht Club (look for the gated path heading back in to the woods) From here the Lakeview trail ups the ante on Flow, fun and speed offering a series of rolling hills and fast but short DH sections as you ascend then drop back down along Newburgh Lake. Overall great trail system with nice features, great views and a few obstacles to play on.

Review: I used to ride here all the time when I lived in Dearborn. There's a short network of singletrack trails that are easy but fun to ride. (Maybe a mile in total? I used to ride back and forth both directions) You can access them either at the very end of Brady drive behind the church, or from the paved path right before it goes under Ford rd. I believe there is also another larger system in rouge river park but I never checked them out.

I haven't been here in about 3 years but there are several short but steep hills as well as a few jumps and berms near the river. It's okay if you live nearby and you just want to mess around without driving anywhere, but there's no challenge
