Review: I just rode this trail last Saturday and I gotta say it's not for beginners. Sure I'm a beginner, but I've gone on trails where the climb was a lot more tolerable than this one and the decent was bleh. I ended up walking 3-4 miles uphill going back and forth. The decent was super fun though. And there's a good stretch of technical decent and rock gardens where I felt my tires/bike would just give in. Turns out my cheap, entry level 2018 Marin Hawk Hill 2 was more than capable of taking the punishment. I was going downhill on these rocks around 15mph. I had no idea what I was doing.

If you're like me, be sure to put on your knee and elbow pads. I fell 3 times, all trying to climb at 2 mph. Lots of rocks and boulders.

All in all, I think I'll be coming here often. Fun fun fun!

Review: 2 miles climb and hot weather, not a good combination and the rock, wish I knew, I fell off the bike. Beautiful view of Livermore.

Review: Rode this loop today about 10:00 am, not too hot! But could be real hot in the summer, bring plenty of water. Mostly fireroad but there is some singletrack mixed in. Great views of Livermore valley from the top. Going down is well worth the hump to get to the top. Lots of speed, watch your braking! Also some rocks can surprise you, don't get too comfortable on the ride down!! Over all a good work out, I recommend it!
