The techs at GBS are excellent. Very thorough and great people, easy to work with them. I took my bike in today for what I thought was an 'easy' brake bleed which turned out to be a replacement of my entire rear brake (leaking master cylinder). I probably wouldn't have noticed it until out on the trail, and I am planning on heading to the mountains to camp/ride right after work. Would have potentially been a bummer on my weekend, instead I am good to go (until the next thing I break). Adam Boe was the technician and his extra thorough approach to verifying that my ride was trail ready made a 'good' job great. Cheers to GBS!!

One of, if not the best, LBS I have ever patronized out of dozens of shops. Friendly approachable staff. Fair prices. Very knowledgeable. Very good rental selection and close to a ton of trails to ride. No one knows more about fatbikes than these guys.

Golden Bike Shop has some of the greatest staff around. Spend some time and hang out with the guys, talk bikes, learn about the new stuff. Great advice and great service. Hooked me up big time on a old stock 2012 frame. Small shop, custom configurations, and lots of demo's. I drive out of my way from Littleton, and have closer shops, but the relationship with GBS is awesome. They have my business. FYI, boutique brands, Santa Cruz, Pivot, Turner, Yeti, Niner, Salsa. If you're a Big S or Big T person, go to the corporate shops. If you want personalized service from people who actually ride what they sell, go to GBS.

Large selection of super high end downhill and XC rental bikes. Able to hit the area trails straight from the shop. They carry a decent selection of custom name brand bikes.

rented some mountain bikes from them and without even doing anything crazy or riding for long, the chain snapped and broke. Would think this was considered normal wear and tear, but the manager made us pay $30 for a new chain, claiming it was only the fault of the rider. Even called to complain and he still said it was our responsibility. Not very good business.

GBS hands down the best bike shop in the Denver Metro area. I live in Littleton and drive past several shops for the best customer service and coolest guys in the region. It is a small shop so not like the giant shops in Highlands Ranch, Wheatridge etc but thats what makes it better.

Not quite sure why the others got a bad impression. I have always been well taken care of and the staff has always been very attentive to my needs. Mostly use them for fixing my overused bike.

I have been riding mountain for 15 years. I have always gotten a good feel in Mountain shops. I like the laidback vibe mountain bikers share. I am in the market for a new bike. I walked in Golden Bike shop knowing they carried Intense. Interested in a 5.5, I approached a shop worker with dark rimmed glasses explaining that I am in the market for a new bike. He brushed me off and stated "all of our bikes are very expensive". Are you kidding me? Am I on Redeo drive or Washington Street in Golden? He missed out on a sale, as did the owner of the shop. I’ll never return.
