Had my Cobia over a year and I love it!! I've added aftermarket grips, stubby bar ends, clipless pedals and soon, a new saddle.
The bike has handled every trail and obstacle I've thrown at it with ease. Some say they don't like the wider bars, but I personally like the width and I've never had a problem in tight spaces. The bars can easily be cut down to a smaller width if desired.
The brakes are noisy, but that's an easy fix. Otherwise, brakes are very responsive.
The best thing about this bike is the $$. It won't break the bank and can easily be upgraded to better components.
You won't go wrong with this bike!
Great front end feel and geometry on the bike. The Cobia being my first 29er (21"), I was expecting the bike to feel like a "boat". After riding for some time, the bike now feels natural and nimble on command. Would recommend investing in a seat for your comfort. The handlebars may feel wide (depending on your height). The brakes may make some noise (if it bothers you, take your heels off), but stop on a dime and are very responsive.
Overall a great bike, no upgrades necessary off the get go in my opinion (besides seat for comfort).
Pros Geometry, brakes, air shock, great value for the product.
Cons Uncomfortable seat, wide bars, brake may be noisy.
Nice looking bike
Pros
Light
Cons
Thank |Good components
