I rented this bike during a trip to Colorado and loved it -- my only reservation about buying it is the price. At this price point, the bike should be perfect. Not sure I am ready to go that far in describing this bike -- but I would happily pay $60 or $70 to rent one for another day of riding one.
Pros A light mid-to-long travel trail/all-mountain bike that manages to have amazingly plush suspension on the downhills without significant loss of pedaling efficiency while climbing. If you stay seated you won't even feel the need to lock out the fork on long fire road climbs.
Cons Amazing performance comes at amazing expense.
Magic Link is pretty amazing. This bike is lightweight (scandium frame) and feels super solid on the descents. Suspension set up allows geometry to shift for more efficient climbing or descending.
Pros It just works - no need to fiddle with suspension settings every time you go up or down. Climbs like a short travel FS bike, descends like a longer travel bike.
Cons I'm not a fan of curved top tube bikes but for purely aesthetic reasons - they look like girls bikes! :)
I got it used for a price I couldn't pass up. I am still tinkering to get it the way I want (bigger bars, shorter stem, x1 drivetrain).
Pros
Adds rear shock distance, climbing
Cons
Thank | Edit |Air auxiliary shock tuning
