I bought theses as a cheaper alternative to my Schwalbe Rocket Rons. I have not been disappointed. As stated above, I had a hard time setting up tubeless. The tires had several pin holes that would not seal. I used twice the amount of recommended sealant and had no further issues. I believe Kenda now has an improved tire for using liquid sealant.
Pros Inexpensive, grip well as advertised.
Cons The tires that I purchased did not do well with liquid tubeless sealant.
I have only put a few hundred miles on these tires and I like them a lot for spring/summer/fall riding. When things become wet/slick, then it becomes treacherous.
I like the tires, but I may go to something a bit more aggressive next time. Or maybe I just need a second set of tires for winter riding.
Pros Tubeless, allows me to drop down to low 20's PSI for added grip in crumby trails
Very grippy in dry/hardpack conditions
Love the curved profile, makes leaning the bike over in a turn easy and stable
I just upgraded from Geax Saguaro to the Kenda Slant Six. I didn't think that there could be that much difference in tires but I could feel it almost immediately. The Slant Six has excellent grip and rarely slips out. It also has a low minimum tire pressure, 30 PSI with tubes. I can adjust to the perfect amount without fear of flatting. I highly recommend this tire.
This is supposed to be a mix between the SB8 and nevegal, but it is almost as heavy as the nevegal. This weight plus not running tubeless well is enough for me not to try these tires again.
I have the Slant 6 as my current front tire, and coupled with the SB8 in the rear, I can rotate the bike quite nicely in turns. The front grips pretty well and I haven't had any issues so far. Was out just recently in some wet conditions and had a pucker moment only after gaining a fair amount of speed. These tires do a great job of holding the trail.
These tires are billed as a blend between Kenda's Small Block Eights and Nevegals and I would say they are much closer in terms of performance to the Small Block Eights.
Pros Fast rolling and good traction for climbing. Holds air well. Supple.
Cons Heavy. Cornering performance leaves a bit to be desired.
I grabbed this tire to use on a 50mile race on mostly hard pack with a sprinkling of granite obstacles up and down. Pinch flatted twice in one race over the granite technical sections.
Helped me make my mind up to head into tubeless.
Pros No doubt a fast and pretty light tire.
Good in sand and hard pack with good cornering capability.
Cons Tread isn't tall to begin with, but it dissolves faster than a SB8.
PINCH Flats! A freaking disaster on slippery roots and moist trails.
Not always predictable.
I would reccomend this tire for hard pack. it is also ok in light/loose sand over hard pack. Grips better than you would think but, may be best suited for experienced riders or those who race. That is not me tho.
overall good tire for xc, very hard pack or wet and tacky trsils, definetly not for any loose gravel or sandy trails. I got it maily to commute but still be able to hit a trail or two on the way home..
Pros great rolling tire, very light compared to the nevegal

Thank | Edit |The tires that I purchased did not do well with liquid tubeless sealant.
I will be buying more of these when needed.
Pros
Great tire. Excellent traction on packed and loose trails. Sturdy over rocks, dry roots and holds good speed.

Thank | Edit |Very slippery over damp and wet roots though I'm yet to find a tire that isn't.
I have found these tires to work pretty well in damp conditions and on rocky trails, however they get chewed up by rocks easily.
Pros
grippy
soft
round profile
Cons
Thank | Edit |soft

Good tire if you mainly ride hardpack.
Pros
Great hard pack, smooth rolling and light debris tire.
Cons
Thank | Edit |Mud shed is practically non-existent, amazingly the tire only lightly suffers, but it's still bad enough to notice.
I would reccomend this tire for hard pack. it is also ok in light/loose sand over hard pack. Grips better than you would think but, may be best suited for experienced riders or those who race. That is not me tho.
