The bike is XC oriented for sure but is capable of much more. Sometimes we forget the bike is only as good as the rider. The bike climbs well and turns quickly. It's always got me back to the truck as well. It's not a feather weight carbon fiber XC race machine but it'll take a beating. The frame is really rigid but I've gotten used to it. The front fork is a Rockshox; it has rebound and compression adjustments. I've found these to make no real noticeable change. It's just a coil fork but still you should be able to tell a difference between all the way slow or all the way hard. The front derailleur kinda sucks but it serves its purpose. I put a shorter stem on and a few other after market parts and it brought the bike alive. Some times I wish I had bought a more expensive bike with a lot nicer components but at the end of the trail my $700 felt gets me up and down the same trail. Sometimes faster than the 2k race bikes.

    Fairly Cheap

    Front Fork
    Front Derailleur
    Stiff Frame

Decent bike for the money, although an Airborne Seeker is a MUCH better bang for the buck.

    Relatively light, decent drivetrain

Handlebar ends fell off, squeaky headset, cassette and crank guard fell off, shifters do not display current gear well, Fork is too soft.
