Travis Hall is a freelance writer and contributor to Singletracks. His recent work has appeared in such publications as MeatEater, American Fly Fishing, and BHA's Backcountry Journal. A native of southern Indiana and a long-time resident and explorer of the North and South Carolina mountains, he now resides in the Bitterroot Valley of western Montana with his wife Abigail and his son Maclean.
