We recently spoke with mountain bike skills coach Dylan Renn about cornering, and it turns out that for many riders, it’s easier to corner in one direction than the other based on their lead (front) foot. Now, we want to know the split between left- and right-foot forward riders.
If you’re not sure which foot you lead with, stand up, pedal a few strokes, and then coast. Your front/lead foot will be the one, well, out front.
Bonus for the comments: Is your lead foot on the opposite side of your dominant/writing hand, or the same side?
