Mountain Biking John Muir Trails

****   Add a review
#7 of 389 mountain bike trails in Wisconsin
#294 in the world

These are great single track trails located in a state forest. Some technical parts, but most riders will be able to find a track that suites them. They are a series of loops, with a ten-mile track being the longest. There is also a five mile connector trail that connects to another series of trails - the Emma Carlin trails. Considering the area, these are the best trails for single track riding in this area of the state!

Rider questions

Q: how long does it take roughly for these trails to dry up a decent amuont after a day of rain?
A: a day or two after rain most parts of the trail will be dry. Certain sections will remain wet and muddy for days. You will be able to enjoy, just beware of the muddy sections.

Q: Are these trails open all year? I'm considering a fat bike this winter
A: Yes they are, I and many others ride our fat bike here in the winter as well as at the emma carlin trail system.
