New mountain bike trails in Cleveland

posted October 19, 2007 by trek7k

Although mountain bikers have been riding the trails in Cleveland Metroparks’ Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation in Cuyahoga Heights for years, it was never officially sanctioned: until now. Last month Cleveland Area Mountain Bikers Association (CAMBA) opened 2 miles of singletrack for mountain bikers as part of a pilot project to get even more bike trails in the park. So far it seems to be going well.

We wrote about another mountain bike project in Cleveland back in March and this just goes to show how a proactive local mountain bike club can make a huge impact on the riding scene. Try getting involved in your local club or at least throwing them some annual dues - the payoff could be more singletrack!
